Our Founder is the only ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) Level 3 Certified Challenge Course Manager in Singapore. He is able to provide consultancy in the development of training plan, policy and procedure. In addition, he can perform skill verification and audit for your staff and centre...

Lye took a month of training with Project Adventure and High 5 Adventure Learning Centre in the United States in October 2008 to elevate his knowledge and skills in facilitation as well as completing the certification process.
This trip also fulfilled a life long dream of visiting the “origin” of most of our ice-breakers, trust activities as well as challenge course elements: Project Adventure. In all, he spent three weeks exchanging ideas with Jim Grout (Ex-Director of PA Vermont and currently Director of High 5 Adventure Learning Centre).
ACCT Level 3 Challenge Course Manager
Lye attended three trainings and two assessments over a period of three weeks to complete the certification process with High 5 Adventure Learning Centre. He is one of the few people in the world certified at this level and the first in Singapore.
To meet the certification requirements, Lye attended more 110 hours of challenge course training and more than 500 hours of documented experience including facilitation and management.
With the certification, Lye is able to provide consultancy in the following areas:
1. Development of Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Development of Training Plan for staff
3. Implementation of Operations Management of Challenge Course Facilities.
4. Skill Verification and Audit
In addition to being an ACCT certified practitioner, Lye has also accumulated a wealth of knowledge in Challenge Course Design and Construction. He is currently the designated contract trainer with Outdoor Specialist Pte Ltd in their ACCT PVM (Professional Vendor Member) accreditation process.
He is also the designer of Shines Outdoor's Leadership Challenge Centre. Through his innovation, a new belay system known as Sliding Pulley Belay System was installed in the centre. The system permits more than two participants to attempt an element at the same time and also speeds up the learning of belaying techniques.
Project Adventure in Beverly, Massachusetts
Lye attended two workshops in PA: Advanced Facilitation Skill and Adventure Based Counselling. Both workshops were heavy on processing/reflection as they focuse on using adventure based learning for the transference of learning.
In addition to adding more processing tools into his bag, it also opened his eyes to PA's rigorous implementation of Challenge by Choice and employment of Slow Pedagogy in their teaching.
